rune knights - lich level

A year ago, I was hired as level designer to create an end-game multi-player raid for the game ‘Rune Knights’, out on Steam right now. It was based off of a Lich’s lair, fit with a two-phase map that opens up after you kill the first boss.

I toyed a lot with optional routes, verticality, flanking opportunity, and so much more in this level. It was genuinely a blast to work on! It looks absolutely nothing like it did when we began, and I’m exceptionally pleased with how it turned out.
